The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Signature Programme ™

Hmmmm….I thought The 7 Habits was a FranklinCovey Programme, how come Mindstrong are offering it? The reason we’re able to offer The 7 Habits Programme is because we are an authorized FranklinCovey Channel Partner. This basically means that the people at FranklinCovey have given us their official stamp of approval; they know that we’ll represent their organization and that we’ll deliver the 7 Habits Programme to the same high standards as their own facilitators.

Emotional Intelligence 1 day Masterclass

Imagine being able to watch yourself back in your very own Truman Show. Whilst it may be uncomfortable viewing, it would be easy to identify your strengths, weaknesses, capabilities and drivers and even easier to see how you are perceived by others. Removed from the situation and its associated emotions, it is easier to empathise with others and to form a more rational, considered response. So, rather than secretly filming you (we think this might be illegal!), our Emotional Intelligence Masterclass provides you with the skills and techniques required to take a step back and achieve a more objective, emotionally intelligent viewpoint.

What is it?

Rapidly gaining momentum as being the most desirable quality in today’s leaders, Emotional Intelligence is the awareness of your own and others’ emotions, the ability to regulate these emotions and the skills to manage relationships in order to achieve the desired result. Whilst some people do show a pre-disposition for Emotional Intelligence, it is a skill that can be learnt.

Course Content

  • What Emotional Intelligence is and why it’s important for self-development.
  • Self-awareness; learning to recognise how you’re perceived by others, understanding your own drivers, capabilities, strengths and weaknesses.
  • Self-management and regulation; techniques for managing your emotions, enabling you to make rational, considered decisions and actions, that are not fueled by your emotions.
  • Social awareness; developing techniques for increasing empathy, learning to read emotions through verbal and non-verbal cues.
  • Relationship management ; The employment of the above skills to make you more effective in your communications and relationships with others, ensuring you can be confident and efficient when dealing with challenges such as change, conflict and influencing others.

What does it cost?

This programme is run in-house, at your premises. If you prefer, an alternative venue can easily be arranged. The cost of the programme is £2000 (+VAT) for up to 12 people and includes all course materials. (Please note that numbers are limited to allow enough time for every delegate to take part in and receive feedback on the course exercises.)

What are the benefits

Emotionally intelligent individuals are more effective because they have a greater awareness of their own and other people’s emotions. Conversely, people who lack Emotional Intelligence do not see the whole picture; it’s a bit like trying to decide which house to buy, having read only the estate agents blurb.

  • Emotionally intelligent individuals are more committed and focused on goals.
  • Emotionally intelligent individuals are calmer, more rational and avoid emotional outbursts.
  • Emotionally intelligent individuals are better communicators because they are able to empathise with others.
  • Emotionally intelligent individuals are more able to inspire, motivate and lead others to action.
  • Emotionally intelligent individuals have better relationships, allowing them to be more productive and effective.
  • And finally, Emotional Intelligence offers you a cost and time effective solution to heightening personal effectiveness.

360° Assessments

Imagine if you could find out what others really think of you – the good, the bad and the stuff that gets written on the toilet walls! OK, that might not sound too tempting, but if you want to develop and move forward, taking a critical look at yourself, your performance and how you’re perceived by others, is essential.

What is it?

360° Assessments get their name from the ‘complete’ picture they provide of an individual: gathering feedback from those who work alongside, above and below the individual. But why is this so critical? As an example, we take the individual who ‘talks the talk’ with senior management, but who is not liked or trusted by the people they lead. This of course is an extreme example, what 360°’s are most useful for is their ability to identify shortfalls and gaps in capabilities, that would go otherwise unidentified. Our coaches provide support for the entire 360° process. We handle the distribution, collation and evaluation of the questionnaires and provide detailed reports with feedback. Feedback includes guidance on translating the results of the assessment into detailed action plans; ensuring you and your people gain maximum benefits from the process.

What does it cost?

Our 360° Assessment costs £150 (+VAT) per person and includes personalised feedback from one of our coaches. This price can vary if you choose to tailor the assessment to your specific organization or industry, by adding in questions that tap into specific topics and challenges.

What are the benefits?

The anonymous nature of 360° Assessment’s gives them the unique advantage of being able to capture truly open and honest feedback, which other tools and techniques fail to obtain. Creates ownership and accelerates commitment to personal development. Provides individuals with a greater understanding of their strengths, weaknesses and capabilities. Creates a culture in which feedback and communication is encouraged and there is a continued focus on personal development. The 360° process delivers bottom-line improvements to individual, team and organizational performance by aligning results with action planning and personal goals. Because the data is perceived as having greater validity and credibility, it is more impactful and accepted more easily, resulting in lasting behavioural change. And finally, Mindstrong’s handling of the entire process takes away the time-consuming admin responsibilities from your people and removes the requirement for additional training, whilst reinforcing the anonymous nature of the assessments.

Personality Profiling

Personality profiling is nothing like those quizzes you find in teenage girl’s magazines, that tell you whether you’re likely to be the life and soul of a party, or the one standing quietly in a corner – we’re pretty sure you already know which one of these you are!

What is it?

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a tool designed to explain why and how people show specific personality preferences and what those preferences are. This knowledge can then be applied to our own personal development; identifying those areas in which we let our preferences rule our decision-making processes.  This knowledge also heightens emotional intelligence, as it increases empathy and understanding as to why other people behave differently to us in certain situations. The test measures people on how they make decisions according to how they perceive the world.   Respondents are rated on four different scales, the various combinations of preferences across these four scales make up the 16 individual preference types.

What does it cost?

The cost will depend on how many people will be completing the MBTI. The cost will include pre-briefing on the MBTI, the collation and administering of results and detailed feedback on the results.

What are the benefits?

  • Increases Emotional Intelligence.
  • Heightens team cohesiveness, as respondents become more empathic towards their colleagues.
  • Creates a focus on personal development, as individuals have increased self-awareness.
  • Significantly improves the communication skills of respondents.
